Strictly Business Tour

Strictly Business Tour

Posted on: 28th October 2011  |

Over the last month we have been up and down the country doing screenings of our brand new film Strictly Business and after three of our own premieres and a number of others we could not be more stoked for its online release on October 31st.

We kicked off our whirlwind tour at Bearsden Ski Club in Glasgow with local rippers Hector Barbour, Chris Wadsworth and Cal Sandieson all turning out to come and shred the jump before checking out their shots in the movie.

Over the last couple of years the Scottsih ski scene has come a long way and nowadays a light drizzle and a bunch of kids on a snowflex jump only ever means one thing. Its not just the riding thats off the chain though but the atmosphere, everyone is always super stoked to be shredding and helping each other out making for an awesome environment to learn new tricks.

After a banger session everyone hit the bar to grab a drink before the movie came on and the rider of the night was announced. After a few technical difficulties and some long discussions the film eventually ran without a hitch and Chris McCormick was crowned rider of the night.

After a bumper scottish breakfast at casa de la Sandieson we headed back to Castleford for the second leg of the tour. Along with our premiere it was also SNO!storm meaning a banger park set-up and live DJ’s on the slope all night. The session really kicked off with team Rider Jamie Lawson showing how its gets done in Yorkshire and local Matt Clarke taking the prize for rider of the night.

The third and final stop on our tour was Hemel Snow Centre and once again we were greeted with an awesome park thanks to the DWA crew. Young rookie and newest member of the crew Walton Fox was on hand to tear things up along with photog Harry Foskett who was trying to capture his creative style from behind the lens.

The scene down at Hemel is growing fast with the freeski community getting bigger and better by the week. The film was once again packed out and it was another local Simon Stephens who took away the prize for rider of the night.

A huge thanks to Monster Energy for keeping us going over the last couple of weeks. We couldn’t do it without you and to the photographers for supplying the photos be sure to check out their websites.
